An End to Our Fiscal Year

Dear Friends of the James River Park

As our fiscal year draws to a close on June 30th, we at Friends of the James River Park are reflecting on a year of significant progress and renewed dedication to our beloved James River Park System. It’s thanks to supporters like you that we’ve been able to provide essential support to Park operations and complete several important projects this year.

Your passion for the JRPS, its vibrant ecosystems, and the invaluable green space it provides to our community fuels everything we do. From the serenity of the North Bank Trail, to the rushing rapids that course through the heart of the Park, the James River Park System offers solace, adventure, and connection to nature for thousands of us every day. Our mission to protect, expand, and enhance this urban oasis is more critical than ever.

As we look ahead to the new fiscal year, we are eager to build on this momentum. We are excited to unveil the new JRPS Natural Resources Management Plan to you all in just a few weeks, and we are making progress on a variety of improvements to Belle Isle. To achieve these ambitious goals and continue our vital work, we rely on the generosity of our community.

The end of the fiscal year is a crucial time for Friends of the James River Park. Your gift today, no matter the size, will directly support our ongoing efforts to maintain healthy trails, preserve natural habitats, protect water quality, and provide essential programs that connect people with the river. Every dollar you contribute ensures that the James River Park System remains a thriving, accessible, and cherished resource for all.

Please consider making your tax-deductible gift by June 30th. You can donate securely online at jamesriverpark.org or by mailing a check to PO Box 4453, Richmond, VA 23220.

Thank you for being an indispensable part of the work we do. Your commitment is truly making a difference.

With deepest gratitude,

Josh Stutz, Executive Director, josh@jamesriverpark.org
