Hello Friends of the James River Park

Membership is back! It never really went away, we just had a period where we spent some time deciding what we wanted membership to mean. We have revamped our member benefits and I hope you will join us as a member today.

Membership is a great way to support FOJRP and affirm your desire to participate annually in our efforts to strengthen the James River Park System. Reliable annual donations allow us to plan for bigger projects and help give us a predictable cash flow that we can use to manage grants and other expenditures. It is one of the best ways to directly support the James River Park System.

Membership also comes with benefits as well, to show our appreciation for your commitment to the Park. These benefits range from special tours to discounted event tickets, and even members-only events.

More than 3 million people each year visit the park and it exists as a great “free” resource for everyone, but not everyone has a hand in taking care of the Park. We know that around two-thirds of all James River Park users come from households outside of the City of Richmond. If you live in the City of Richmond and the Park is worth more to you than the few dollars per year that are contributed through your taxes, or if you don’t live in the City at all, annual membership is an excellent way to ensure consistent and sustainable funding for the Park.

We know it isn’t easy to decide which organizations you want to support, so we especially appreciate your interest in supporting Friends of the James River Park with an annual membership. We are an organization of JRPS lovers and we pride ourselves on efficient and effective use of the funds we receive. We are grateful for every dollar that we can put back into the Park and we are grateful to you for contributing! Thank you.
