Web of Life!

Here’s an activity that’s ideal for the third-grader in your life: Web of Life (or build a food web). We build food webs like this when third grade classes come to visit JRPS educators on field trips, and it’s a great one to work on as a family, at home!

Project Learning Tree has excellent directions related to this activity, but feel free to customize it, too.
Could your food web span your entire back yard?
Could it be three dimensional in a bed room or play space?
Maybe stuffed animals or other toys could represent organisms in the food web!

Let us know how your family does this lesson together.
