Brief Organizational Description: Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: Tools, work gloves, and other instruction will be provided by staff on site. Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities: *Register to participate and receive updates about event. *Arrive by the start time (9am). Stay until the end of event (12pm). *Wear long sleeves, long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. *Bring drinking water. *In addition to the event description (above), physical activities also include walking, bending, kneeling, and squatting. With questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the event coordinator prior to event. *Experience isn’t necessary (But learning is!) Hazards include but are not limited to: poison ivy, thorns, stinging insects, uneven terrain and weather conditions. Please prepare accordingly. Location Information: Participants should find appropriate parking at or near Hampton Street and Kansas Avenue. We will be meeting at the Northbank Trailhead located at the intersection of these streets, at the coordinates 37.53192, -77.47485. If you are having trouble finding the location, please email the event coordinator.
