Kayak Pool Sessions

This event is a JRPS Education program. All attendees must register in advance. 

Learn the basics of white water kayaking in a heated pool before you get out on the river. We will work on basic strokes and self rescue techniques, including the roll, to prepare you for kayaking on the James River. Intermediate paddlers or those looking for indoor space to work on specific skills may bring their own equipment and work independently. All participants must be confident swimmers. Equipment available to borrow. 

Ages: 15 years+

Time: 6pm – 8pm

Price: $20 City of Richmond resident, $50 non-resident
