Event Details

Join The James River Park System as we remove invasive vines from a challenging slope location. This event is in coordination with JROC and climbers. Must be approved to participate.

Volunteers will be using small hand tools such as loppers and hand saws. Please feel free to bring your favorite tool from home and a pair of gloves that you already own. Please bring water and a snack, wear closed toe shoes and dress comfortably as we will be outside for the duration of the project. Regardless of the weather, we strongly recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants to protect yourself from plants such as briars and poison ivy. Please bring your own sunscreen, bug spray, and any other items to help you feel more protected working outdoors. This event will be canceled in case of storms and heavy rain. We look forward to working with you!

PLEASE NOTE: Park in the 42nd St Parking lot located at approximately 4401 Riverside Dr. We will be meeting in the lot at 9am before walking to the work site. Please arrive by 9am in order to participate.

Participants for this event must be 18+
