Meet Thursday at 9:00am on Belle Isle at Bike Skills area to volunteer with Richmond Tree Stewards. Remove invasive non-native plants, plant native plants, and water new plants as needed. Call or text Catherine Farmer 804-363-7659 with questions about weather or cancellations.
*Sturdy shoes, long sleeves and long pants are recommended as well as a water bottle and if you have them, work gloves and tools (clippers, pruners e.g.).
Directions from Downtown: Park in parking lot at 300 Tredegar St. and cross suspension bridge to Belle Isle.
Directions from the South: Park on 21st or 22nd St. and cross Riverside Dr. to enter park. Cross railroad on bridge, climb down steps and follow directions to island, staying close to chain link fence.
