Author & Park-lover John Bryan is our Latest ParkStar!

John Bryan has quite the love affair with Richmond and our beautiful James River. He spent over 20 years at VCU, and founded CultureWorks, promoters of the arts and artists of the Richmond region. Over 25 years ago, he turned his love of Richmond – and fishing! – into “The James River in Richmond.” Over 7,000 copies were printed and distributed to nonprofits throughout the region for use in fundraising and furthering their missions. As he tells us in the video below, much has changed in the past 25 years, and his NEW guide to the James River region and our James River Park System touches on hiking, biking, the important history of the river in Richmond, and the best spots to drop a line in the water! Of course! You can order a copy of his book at this link. Hear from John in the video below.
