That’s right: We’re asking for your vote.
As part of the American Rescue Plan, the City of Richmond is receiving $154 million. The City is conducting a survey to determine the best way to divvy up that money. The survey is open through August 9th, so time is of the essence.
Before you ask – funding for schools is part of a separate package, so those needs will be addressed.
Question #4 gives you the opportunity to rank your choices for which parts of Richmond’s infrastructure need the most attention. “Parks” is one option and “Bike and Pedestrian Infrastructure” is another.
We know that the pandemic created a host of critical needs across Virginia, but this is your chance to have a say in how we address them. Please take the survey and let the City know how much you value our parks and green spaces. Here in the James River Park System, funds would be used for things like a new Texas Beach Tower, the Pony Pasture Education Center, Pump House restoration, and other parts of our Master Plan.
