Support the Park Today!

Dear Friends-

It is Giving Tuesday, a day when all of your favorite charities make a pitch for your support, and that is what I am here to do.

As you probably already know, Friends of the James River Park is the largest nonprofit support group for the James River Park System. We work directly with the JRPS staff to identify and solve problems in the Park. Our close relationship with the team who work in the Park every day is what makes us unique and especially effective.

We use the funds you donate for a lot of really cool things. You can check out our annual report  to read more specifics about how we did that last year, and what we are working right now by checking out the news on our website. If you have visited the JRPS you have benefited from the work of FOJRP, whether you realize it or not..

Today I am asking for anything you can spare to support what we do for the Park. We will put that money to work protecting and improving the James River Park System. It is that simple. Every dollar makes a difference and helps us create a more stable and sustainable funding system for the Park.

If you are already a regular donor, thank you for the support. I hope we can continue to count on your support for our mission to protect, expand, and enhance the James River Park System. Regular support helps us build better budgets and make long-term plans.

If you have donated at some point in the past, but not recently, please take a look at the things we have going on right now. I hope we can earn your support back with the results we have achieved.

If you have never donated before I am asking you to consider supporting us today. Doing so is easy. Just click here and fill out the form. We also accept checks, which can be mailed to PO BOX 4453 Richmond VA 23220. If you want to donate appreciated stocks we can handle that too, just reach out to us at friends@jamesriverpark.org for the paperwork.

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this message today. Helping take care of the Park is a big job, and the only way to tackle it is with Friends.

See you in the park!

-Josh
