It is almost Spring time, and for most of you, that means you will be starting to get out in the Park more often. While you are in the Park I want you to keep an eye out for our friend, photographer, and board member- Bill Draper. He is in the Park pretty much every day capturing the images that we use throughout our website and on social media. He even published a book of his JRPS photography, which you can buy here – Coffee Table Book

Bill joined the board of FOJRP in 2021 and is a constant presence in the Park. In addition to being a local wildlife expert, he is also a coach for the Sportsbackers Richmond Marathon Training Team, and a strong advocate for staying active. He is part of what makes our organization great and we are grateful for everything he does for us.

I am telling you all about Bill, because we are hosting a talk for his book, A Photographic Journey of the James River Park System, on March 23rd 6 PM at Basic City Brewing. In addition to talking about the book itself, he will be sharing how and why he got started with photography, the equipment he uses, and, if you’re lucky, his favorite spots along the river.
