We wrote recently about the rich history of the Pumphouse building and the efforts to restore and preserve this amazing structure. We were very fortunate to hold our recent Board meeting INSIDE the Pumphouse, and take a look around. Folks with Friends of the Pumphouse told us of ongoing preservation efforts and their plans for the future of this landmark. Take a look! We need to do more to instill a culture of sustainability in our Park users.
This Earth Day, we are launching a special campaign to rally support for increasing our capacity to support the James River Park System.
We have an immediate opportunity to expand the Park, and we need you to help us make it happen! The available parcel is a 4.5-acre piece of land, known as the Brander Street Property, that sits between Ancarrow’s Landing and I-95.
