Please register for this event at Hands On Greater Richmond

Volunteers will assist with removal of invasive plant species in either  the Rockfalls Creek Restoration Area near the park entrance or along a main trail corridor.  Depending on weather, group size,  and other factors, we will either use hand tools (pruners and hand saws) to remove invasive shrubs or we will focus on manual ground removal of invasive vines (no tools required).

Please arrive on time for orientation and to reach project area.  We will meet either near the pedestrian bridge leading to the restroom facility or near the picnic tables at the east end of the parking lot.

Work gloves and tools (if needed) are provided.

VOLUNTEERS MUST:

  • Wear long pants/socks that cover the ankles, long sleeves, and sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots. Leggings and any material that easily snags are discouraged.
