The mission of the Friends of the James River Park is to preserve, protect, and enhance the Park. In 2019 we participated in developing a master plan that identified many opportunities to do so. Our work intends to balance nature and adventure, improve Park infrastructure, and enhance the Park experience for all users. Our current endeavors and future plans will do just that.

Working with our civic and business partners – and harnessing the power of your donations – we’ve been moving forward with improvements that create new spaces, enhance trails, and provide opportunities for more people to enjoy the natural splendor of the James River Park System.
