Native Species Restoration Planting at Pony Pasture Rapids!
Sunday, April 14th
9:00 AM – Noon
Pony Pasture Rapids, James River Park System, 7200 Riverside Drive, Richmond 23225
Celebrate spring by nurturing a native shrub understory at the Pony Pasture Rapids Restoration Area of Richmond’s James River Park System. This area has been under active invasive management for nearly ten years. Now join the invasives management team for a second season of restoration planting of locally native shrub species.
Planting locations will be flagged in advance. Tools—and gloves—will be supplied but feel free to bring your own. Long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots are a must as is a water bottle.
