I want to thank you for all the help you provided this past year and beyond in helping to shape the James River Park System Master Plan! Last night was the end of “Phase 1” with the official adoption of the Master Plan by City Council in a unanimous decision.
On Monday, January 27, the James River Master Plan is being presented to Richmond City Council for its approval. This Master Plan, crafted with the input of park users from everywhere as well as each district of the City of Richmond, is a 10 year plan to protect, maintain and improve the James River Park System.
For the past six years, our friends over at Keep Virginia Beautiful have hosted the Shiver in the River, at Tredegar Street, alongside the James River.
We hope that you’ll join us for OUR celebration on the 21st, when we’ll begin to gather at 4:30 PM at Belle Isle. There will be a traditional bonfire, snacks and hot drinks, and plenty of songs. Bring your singing voice or instrument so that you can join in!

She’s in charge of the Habitat Restoration Project there.
