Introducing the New Friends of the James River Park Logo
While the mission of the Friends remains a constant, how we do this continues to evolve. To reflect the energy associated with this transformative stage, the Board decided to update and refresh our logo.

No Introduction Needed: ParkStar Katherine Mitchell
While not leaving the Friends of the James River Park, Katherine Mitchell’s term as our Board President has expired. She has been a constant presence as we created our Master Plan, which will guide our future.

Volunteer Days in the Park
Saturday, October 17th was a good day in the James River Park System and the City Of Richmond. It will be one of those days a Park Superintendent will look back on with a smile and as a reaffirmation as to all the good reasons a person chooses a career in parks.

A Bridge Far Enough
One of T. Tyler Potterfield’s goals was to connect more visitors to the James River Park. And the bridge named in his honor is a fitting example of that.
