FOJRP will be the benefactor of Pescados China Street's
(626 China Street on Oregon Hill) fundraising event Monday, March 14th
. They'll donate 15% of all
the day's sales including lunch, dinner and bar sales. That's an amazingly generous promotion. If you haven't been to Pescados yet, March 14th is a must! The menu is fresh, creative and incredibly tasty...and for fish phobes, there's plenty of carnivorous or vegetarian alternatives. Invite your friends, family -- and anyone else who loves the Park and excellent food. You can go anytime that day to support the Friends: lunch (11:30-2 p.m.), cocktails or dinner (5-10 p.m.)
Check out Pescados' web site
and see you there!
James River Park License Plate (almost) Cruising Along
Our license plate bill is a part of HB 1418 and passed the Senate last month. We can't wait for the governor to sign that piece of paper. In the meantime, if you sent in an application long ago, you might get a call or email from us so we can update your plate expiration date and the like. We want to have perfectly accurate applications to turn into DMV in July when the bill will go into effect. If you have sold the vehicle you sent us the form for, we would need a new form from you by June 1st to insure you get your plates as soon as possible. Thanks for your help with all this paperwork.
DMV has told us that FOJRP can accept completed applications until June 1st. (Remember, we need to hit 1001 on the road before it becomes a revenue stream for FOJRP.) Just $25 to show your pride in one of the best places in Richmond. Please send in your application now and help spread the word to park-lovers around town.
You can get all the information and the application and pay by check or with PayPal at www.jamesriverpark.org. We really appreciate your help (and patience) in making this plate a reality.
