Ancarrow wildflower photographs delight, inform

May 11, 2017 | News

Newton Ancarrow, a Richmond boatbuilder, environmentalist, and James River Park advocate, took thousands of wildflower photos in the 60s and 70s. Now these beautiful images, documenting more than 400 species, are available digitally through the efforts of the VCU Library in conjunction with the VCU RICE Rivers Center and Lewis Ginter Botannical Gardens.
