James River Park License Plates & Free Membership
Tomorrow, Oct. 9th, and Oct. 30th we'll have a booth at the South of the James Farmers' Market in Forest Hill Park from 8 a.m. till noon with JRPS Virginia license plate applications and information available. Anyone who signs up for a license plate at the market gets a FREE membership to FOJRP!
We're continuing our drive to get a James River Park System license plate approved by the General Assembly this January. We have nearly 150 completed applications, but need to gather approximately 200 more by January for the measure to be voted on and approved so that the lovely license plates can be on our vehicles by next spring.
To get your application, simply go to our web site www.jamesriverpark.org and click on the license plate application on our home page. It's an easy process and will cost you only $25 for a standard plate, $35 for a vanity plate. Please help us get this done! Tell your neighbors, friends, and co-workers! Hope to see you at the Market!

Have you seen our newly re-launched web site? This baby was born yesterday,
www.jamesriverpark.org  and is as beautiful as the park. Ok, that's not quite true, but we want you, our members, to click around and tell us what you think. We've worked for months on this with our friends at Webbones, Stephanie Saccone and Susan Martin, and we think it does the park proud. Board members Gay Leahy and Maureen Egan and the rest of the Web Site committee got this thing to the finish line, which is really the start of something big. Spread the word. We'll be tweaking and adding information and more photos in the months to come, and you'll be hearing from us through Constant Contact from now on.
Our old site was a labor of love done many years ago with help from mid
schoolers at St. Catherine's, Ralph White, and Ken Hopson. We are forever grateful for the work they did which we've now built upon and updated. Ken, a former FOJRP board member, was the keeper of the keys to the old site and we appreciate so much his abilities and willingness to do updates over the years, all as a volunteer. You'll see many of his photographs gracing our new site. We couldn't have done either site without him. Thanks, Ken!
When FOJRP contracted with Webbones to do the site, we appreciated both their vision and their willingness to donate more
than $1000 worth of work for the site. What we hadn't envisioned was just how much energy and passion they would bring to the project, along with great ideas and amazing execution. Thank you, Susan and Stephanie, so much for your top notch work, unfailing good humor, and heartfelt generosity!
